House Near Boulder A 'Total Loss' After Fire

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — A vehicle fire spread and destroyed a home east of Boulder Tuesday, fire officials said. Fire crews were called to the 1200 block of Tipperary Street around 10:30 p.m. after they received a report of a vehicle on fire, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said. The fire spread through a garage and into the two-story home, but residents were able to evacuate before emergency personnel arrived, the agency said. A pet cat was unaccounted for as of Wednesday morning. The fire was extinguished, however the home is "potentially a total loss," fire officials said. More than $200,000 in damage may have occurred, according to the Boulder County Assessor. A nearby RV camper was also damaged, as well as two vehicles that were inside the garage.
