POSITION OVERVIEW: Pierson’s Concrete Construction Co. is looking for a top performing and experienced Foreman/Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent/Field Operations Supervisor in the Concrete Construction Industry. Pierson’s Concrete Construction Co. is a subcontractor based in Northern Colorado with an emphasis on, but not limited to, commercial and residential projects. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Regular and predictable attendance. Interior floors including slab on void, slab on metal deck and slab on grade, Sitework including curb and gutter, sidewalks, v-pans, paving, Foundations walls, columns and stair cores, Post tension both elevated and on grade Must have the ability to read and understand plans and specifications for all trades. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, OSHA certification, and the ability to enforce OSHA and company safety on site. Good computer/tablet/smart phone skills with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, & Project. Strong proficiency in using both Bluebeam and ProCore and Plangrid Project Management software. Strong knowledge of building codes, specifically related to concrete Work with project management to generate RFI’s as need and relay those answers to the crew Work With Project management to ensure project remains in budget Relay any change order work, including signed work tickets as needed to Project Management Work with project management to generate RFI’s as need and relay those answers to the crew Work With Project management to ensure project remains in budget Relay any change order work, including signed work tickets as needed to Project Management The Superintendent utilizes problem solving abilities on a daily basis; coordinates with the Crew Leaders and other Management on all logistical aspects and communicates a strong sense of urgency for the project; assists in documenting daily project activities and meetings and subcontractors in order to identify changes beyond the contractor’s scope of responsibilities, and enforces safety procedures. Coordinate site logistics, including access and sequencing of work Ensure crew has all required and current construction documents/plans Problem solve constructability issues with crews as needed, to keep on track and schedule Work with crew and yard staff to ensure equipment needs are met Fully understand Rebar shop, embed and anchor bolt drawings, post tension cable, shoring drawings and help leads as needed Coordination of testing and inspections with customer and testing agency Scheduling and coordination of material deliveries and third tier subs as needed Fully understand and relay slopes and grades as needed Fully understand ADA requirements as the pertains to concrete Thorough knowledge of survey as it pertains to concrete work Be able to coordinate between structural, architectural and all other available documents as needed to perform any task. A solid understanding of needs and expectations of trades that follow our work to provide a quality product SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists Crew Leaders and other Management in supervising and directing the entire construction field effort to ensure that the project is constructed in strict accordance with safety, building code, design, budget, quality, and schedule requirements. The Superintendent should optimize the profitability and reputation of the company through field planning, efficiency, and hard work without jeopardizing the quality, safety, or completion of the project. Possess the ability to anticipate and mitigate coordination, design, safety, and schedule issues ahead of any project impact, through the effective review of the project documents, effective long range planning, knowledge of manufacturer installation instructions, and safety/ building code requirements. Assist in creating professional, accurate project schedules and regular updates with ability to lead and coordinate the project to aggressively meet or beat that schedule. Ability participate in pre-construction and or sub-contractor coordination meetings and follow through with items discussed Coordinate with customer to ensure job site is ready prior to crew mobilizing, and the ability to convey make ready needs to customer if needed Coordinate and oversee multiple crews on multiple jobsites KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE ‘REQUIRED’ /’PREFERRED’ FOR THE JOB: Must have a valid Driver’s License 5+ years’ experience as a Project Superintendent in the construction industry (preferred) 2+ years’ experience in concrete construction (preferred) Bi-Lingual a plus CAD experience a plus EDUCATION (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS): · GED PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT: Examples: Must be able to carry 100 lbs. of equipment Must be able to travel in the Northern Colorado and Wyoming area up to 100% of the time Must be able to inspect and supervise all areas of the project/job in all types of weather, which may require – stooping, bending, climbing, pushing, carrying, pulling and lifting of associated building materials. (All areas may mean manholes, crawl spaces, work accessed by scaffolding or ladders, floors and roofs accessed by multiple flights of stairs, etc) BENEFITS Company Credit Card, Cellular Phone and Company Vehicle Use, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, 401k after 1 year of employment, Health, Dental and Life insurance offered the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment (partially paid by employer) Job Type: Full-time Salary: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year Schedule: Monday to Friday (some Saturdays)
