Man Killed In N I-35 Crash Identified

AUSTIN, TX — Austin police has identified the man who was struck by a car and died in North Austin on May 11. Michael Elton Holt, 28, died after being struck by a 2015 Nissan Rogue while crossing the 12100 block of N. Interstate 35 frontage road, authorities announced Tuesday. Officers received a 911 call around 8:42 p.m. for an auto versus pedestrian crash. When police arrived, Holt was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the Nissan remained on scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, authorities said. Charges are not expected to be filed against the driver of the Nissan.
