What up Party People.... So I just moved here in March... and yes I'm aware that there is Corona... I'm over it... literally. Had it in Jan 2020 BEFORE anyone even knew what it was. BUT... Is there a live music scene in So Florida? Are there any cool clubs with live bands on Friday and Saturday nights? What kinds of music can somebody expect to find? I saw one band Southern Rock / Country... it was okay... not my cup of tea but the crowd seemed to like them and they were good. I want something else. There are very few rehearsal studios... LOTS of recording studios.... and NO LOCKOUTS for bands or people to practice... so I'm guessing most of that takes place at somebody's house. Regardless.... Is it all about DJ's and Rap/Hip Hop now? Is the music scene dead? Is it all about originals? I put out an ad to try and find band members and literally nobody responded. I've been playing drums for YEARS and created multiple successful acts, even been a lead singer in other successful bands... I gotta admit... I'm SHOCKED... I thought Florida being pretty much open would be TEAMING with bands and people looking to get something started.... but so far "crickets". I know CL can have some flaky people... I've dealt with that... but this is kind of ridiculous.... Doesn't ANYONE want to be in a great band? I'm very well versed: Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Glam Metal, 70's & 80's Dance Pop, 90's Grunge, 90's, 2000 Pop Punk... and some of the Top 40... Obviously lots of the current music... well it's questionable at best... but I'm open to exploring and learning new songs. Can somebody PLEASE throw me a bone here? Signed...... Clueless in SoFlo
