NOVATO, CA — San Marin overcame an early three-run deficit to defeat crosstown rival Novato 5-4 Tuesday in a Marin County Athletic League baseball gam Andrew Abell hit a three-run homer and Chase McAndrew had three hits to help San Marin overcome a 3-0 deficit going into the top of the fourth in the Mustangs second straight win and third in four games. Sophomore Josh Martin pitched three relief innings of two-hit ball for the win in which he struck out five, walked two and gave up one run. Jake Tirk had two hits for Novato in its third straight loss and fourth in five games. The two teams are scheduled to meet again Friday at Novato.
