BELVIDERE, IL — Car maker Stellantis, owner of the Jeep brand, announced it will cut one of two work shifts at its Belvidere, Illinois, assembly plant on July 26. A spokesperson said a global car chip shortage is partly why they had to reduce staff. It's also the reason why the plant hasn't been working on cars since late March. Read more at CBS Chicago
