Typical working schedule is Monday - Friday with a rotating on call shift on the weekends, 8-12 hour days. Start times will typically be 5am to start but could range from 5am-7am. Additional hours will be required based on workload, seasonality fluctuations, and during events/promotions. Under direction of the Warehouse manager, the Driver drives a truck with a capacity of under 26,000 GVW, primarily to deliver materials within a specified area. Assist with loading and unloading of truck. Distributes and delivers equipment, materials and supplies; this will end up being a jack of all trades type position so you will end up learning other positions within the warehouse as well! What you will be doing: Plans material allocations in order to meet transportation, operations, or production goals; Loads and unloads truck with supplies and equipment; Uses fork lift, pallet jack and scanner, and communicates with Department as necessary; Obeys traffic laws, and follows established traffic and transportation procedures; Reports any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles; Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers; Reads maps, and follows written and verbal geographical directions; Reports delays, accidents, or other traffic situations or bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios; Maintains clean and safe work environment; performs related duties as required. Provides courteous customer service and assists technician on job where needed Other Miscellaneous Duties in the Warehouse as assigned What we look for: High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver’s License Some experience in the operation of motor vehicles utilized in warehouse and delivery operations Positive attitude Attention to detail Willingness and ability to accept and embrace change Exceptional driving record Ability to lift 50 - 75 pounds on your own **Training Provided** Hourly compensation is $17 to start with a 120 day review to $18/hours At Genz Ryan Plumbing and Heating, and Inspiration Design Center, we value both hard work and work-life balance.
