Know and comply with the company’s safety rules, policies and OSHA regulations including injury/incident/near miss reporting procedures. Bring problems to attention of Foreman, Supervisor, Superintendent, Safety Director, or Human Resource Manager. 2. Responsible for operation, transportation, and observation of other operators using the concrete paving equipment up to and/or including the GOMACO paver, placer, box scraper, curb machine, blades, trimmer, and other equipment if acquired. 3. Start machine, engage clutch, and push and move levers to guide machine along forms or guidelines and to control the operation of machine attachments. 4. Inspect, clean, maintain and repair equipment, using mechanics hand tools, or report malfunctions to supervisors and mechanics. 5. Use machine to spread, smooth, level, or steel-reinforced stone, concrete on road beds or other surfaces if necessary. 6. Operate loaders, dump trucks, backhoes, dozers and landscape style tractors if needed. 7. Complete the set up and tear down of equipment. 8. Drive machines onto truck trailers, and drive trucks to transport machines and material to and from job sites if necessary. 9. Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow, and indicate low spots for workers to add material. 10. Relate to the public and to customers, engineers, architects and other visitors in a professional, courteous and respectful manner, appropriately responding to their complaints, requests or comments. 11. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
