Description

Over 50 bassist, seeking a solid ORIGINAL PROJECT in which to sink my teeth into. Not into covers, ANYBODY can do that. Reliable transportation, I show up on time, and LOVE the atmosphere of people who appreciate each others' talents and abilities, and the creative process is something I have sorely missed. Pro gear/attitude/experience, tons of hours in both the studio and stage. I'm a singer/songwriter/musician/producer and recording artist. I play bass (4 and 8 string), rhythm guitar (6 and 12 string, acoustic and electric), percussion (I play claves, do claps, maracas, triangle, and I swing a mean tambourine), I also play SOME keys (piano, synth, Hammond). I sing lead and backing vocals (upwards of 6 parts), and can engineer/mix and arrange. My ego stays OUTSIDE. Very easy to work with, I'm a total team player. With me, it's all about THE MUSIC. I have studied the biz and know most of the pitfalls bands fall into that trap them and keep them from success. I know about contracts, band agreements, copyrighting and production. Also have LA contacts. I'm married, but free to travel when the time comes. Non-smoker, no drugs or alcohol issues. Wanting to find a band of serious musicians who, like me, believe that being this old means I have extensive music experience both live and in-studio applications, as well as being a solid singer, songwriter and musician. Not ready to hang up the guitars and basses just yet. I come in PREPARED, I do my homework and know my stuff. My main influences are: Beatles, Who, Zeppelin, Motown, Grand Funk, MC5, Cactus/Vanilla Fudge, Foo Fighters, Petty, Moody Blues, Mooney Suzuki, Deep Purple, Traffic/Steve Winwood, Alice Cooper, Frost, and tons more. Bass influences are; McCartney, Entwistle, JPJones, James Jamerson, Mel Schacher, Mike Davis, Tim Bogert, Roger Glover, Bob Rigg, etc., etc. Guys who ROCK. I grew up in the Detroit music scene, spent hundreds of hours going to Mt. Holly, Grande Ballroom, just about anywhere music was being performed. If I sound like someone you're looking to add to your band/musical project, send me a note. I've had both of my COVID shots (Pfizer) and am COVID-free, and I'm ready to get to work. I also do studio sessions and fill-ins. I have tracks to share to show what I can do, and what I can add to your project/band. Your tracks get mine in return. Startup projects are OK, so long as you're serious about recording and performing. Always willing to put in the work necessary to make GREAT MUSIC.
