Construction Labor- Entry Level
Jobs
1102 W Southern Ave near Ste 4, Phoenix AZ
Description
On Residential Construction sites our Inspections and Testing crews need to dig trenches to install pipes that enable us to flood the property of a house under construction. It requires maintaining the pipes by checking on the sites and making sure the other labor crews haven't messed it up as well as checking how the water is draining in the soil. It is a VERY simple process that is quick to learn and great for someone wanting to get into construction but can handle the labor side of it. The hours are great for students or other evening obligations you may have. BENEFITS/PAY- Work Truck- take-home but business use only $15-$17/hour- depending on experience (would likely require landscape experience that's dealt with installing pipes and drip systems on construction projects for the higher end pay). Insurance- Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, Paid Time Off (6 Paid Holidays) Full-Time GROWTH OPPORTUNITY- We are looking for someone who can stand up and take charge of this division. It is a small division that has a lot of projects but not enough people. We need someone who wants to be a self-starter, and manage a small crew and grow this division to where it should be. If we are able to get more team members then there is more people to manage. You don't have to be that person, but I want to ensure you know that the growth opportunity is there. If you have been a supervisor before, please don't expect a high supervisor pay, this is entry level and a small dept and small company. The pay would still be around 15-17 simply because of our budget. SCHEDULE- Monday to Friday, 6:30am-3pm (may start earlier for summer heat); Saturdays are rare if ever. Physical Demand- Need to dig A LOT of trenches with a standard shovel around a residential construction site and in AZ Summers Bending over and standing up to install pipes. Sit in a work truck in going from site to site all day, sometimes 30-45 min between each site. Team Atmosphere- There are typically teams of two that go out to each site to do installs and maintenance checks. Sharing a truck with the same person every day is very real and working together to dig and install requires a good relationship. Some work is individual also.
