Lovely family in Encinitas, Ca (San Diego Co.) looking for a Long Term Full Time Nanny. Must be an amazing communicator, LOVE kids, engage at a deep emotional level, take a ton of initiative, be an excellent organizer, and great family assistant. Live out with the occasional traveling and overnight as needed. The position will start ASAP. The child is 11 years old and will be going into middle school next fall. Interviews being conducted via agency. Must be an experienced, mature candidate who will care for the child like their own. Client is looking for someone who will provide a safe, loving, stimulating, and educational environment for the child. In addition to childcare, the role will require light household duties and errands. Must be okay with animals as they have 2 dogs. MUST BE PRESENT - Not looking for someone who will be on their cell phone, laptop, or watching tv. If you cannot step away from your technology, this is NOT the role for you. Compensation and schedule: $20-23 ph W2 Monday through Friday, 12 pm-6 pm during the school year with flexibility during the summer months (June-August). Client open to earlier/later start times in the summer as needed. Duties: Full Care for 11-year-old daughter Primary responsibilities - first and foremost, creating an attentive and loving environment for the child and family Create a stimulating environment filled with play that is both educational and fun Assisting with homework, projects, and daily academic routines even during the summer months Reading, singing, and play Meal prep for child and also light meal prep for family (chopping and slicing veggies, boiling water, etc) Grocery shopping and running errands as needed Maintain clean working areas and tidy household Light organization and household projects Daily walks and trips to the beach/dog beach 1-2 times a week Outdoor activities/swimming as there is a pool on the property Supervising and planning play dates, weekly activities, and outings ( SeaWorld, Zoo, Balboa Park) Overall household management and staying on top of a weekly schedule Driving to and from various activities and extracurriculars Key personality traits: Calm and gentle - does not overstimulate Joyful personality - always in a good mood Can-do attitude - does not get flustered Self stater- walks into the house each day and takes initiative Great and direct communicator Loves being a nanny and growing with a family long term Safe, loving, and nurturing Reliable and Punctual Multi-tasks with ease Flexible - must be somewhat flexible with hours Proactive - anticipate the needs of the family before being asked Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience working as a professional nanny for more than one child School-age child development experience (child is going into Middle School Fall 2021) Long term stability working for families for more than 2-3 years at a time minimum 3-5 Professional references Reliable call to get you to and from work No DUI or DWI Education background is a plus
