Description
We have loved this dude since he came home to us last August. He is a Giant Flemish /Giant Chinchilla mix. He will be one year old on May 30. Clover currently enjoys the ideal life of an indoor/outdoor house bunny. I let him outside every morning and depending on the weather, he will stay outside and play/rest all day. He has no other furry companions. He lost his bond with his littermate brother and they had to be permanently separated. He is not a fan of cats and will thump the house down when he sees one in the back yard at night. He sleeps indoors at night and free-roams in a bunny safe part of the house at night and during the day in the dining room/sitting room/kitchen. He has a dedicated bunny pen for his litter-box and food but it is NEVER closed/locked. He has a set up of boxes behind/around a big chair and it is a bit of a burrow/den area for him to feel safe in with multiple exit routes. He is neutered and vaccinated, though he is not chipped. Bunnies of his breed can die of heat stroke even in 80° weather so hot summer days mean more indoor time during the summer, but he can be let out in the cool mornings and evenings. He is my morning coffee buddy and chills out under my chair and stays near me when I sit on the patio with my morning cup at sunrise. He has never lived a caged life and he never should. He is not the snuggliest bun, but then we have a busy house with super active kids. He is fully litter trained and has not had any accidents in the house since he was neutered last fall. He would do well with a kitty pet door to come in and out of a bunny proofed back yard with lots of shade and water, but blocked in at night due to predators. He saw the vet for a checkup this week and though he is only 10.6lbs: Dr says it is very likely due to his continual access to activity and exercise. At night, I call him and he comes in for his banana chips and veggies and I close the door for the night. Clover is in need of a loving home to keep living his best life.
