Job Description Pool Custodian Department: Service and Maintenance FLSA Status: Non-exempt Work Schedule: 5-6 days per week, includes Saturdays in season POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for thoroughly maintaining clients’ pools, spas and/or other bodies of water in a clean and algae-free condition, and being efficient in doing so by brushing, cleaning tile and vacuuming or netting. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Protect company assets by maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a clean and working condition. 2. Maximize efficiency of work to be done by keeping truck stocked with all necessary chemicals and tools needed to properly service our clients’ pools. 3. Ensure efficiency in our billing department by maintaining accurate records and completely filling out paperwork for each job. 4. Maintain our client’s pools and spas in a clean, clear and chemically balanced condition by adhering to company procedure and standards, including thorough brushing and cleaning all tile regularly with attention to detail. 5. Identify any equipment problems by following troubleshooting procedures and reporting in for more guidance when needed. 6. Ensure efficient workflow and workload by reporting in to dispatch desk after every 3rd job and/or if an emergency arises. TYPICAL TASKS MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 1. Cleaning and maintaining gunite and vinyl pools and spas by brushing, vacuuming/netting and cleaning tile. 2. Maintain and record accurate information on daily paperwork. 3. Perform routine equipment checks to ensure proper operation 4. Relay problems and concerns to dispatcher and team leader 5. Assist with Summerizing and Winterizing Pools and Spas SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience: 2+ years Other Requirements: Must be 18 years old +. Must have a good driving record.
