MECHANIC, DEPOSIT, NY - Searching for a self-motivated mechanic with basic mechanical skills who wants a position that will involve variety throughout the work day. This is a full-time position with some overtime required to complete tasks. Duties will include: • Perform basic repairs and changes parts • Keeps logs on work and issues • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues • Manage routine maintenance work to optimize vehicle performance • Assist fellow mechanics/team members in performing technical activities • Maintain an organized and neat bay • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications will be: • Must have good mechanical ability • Strong work ethic with ability to prioritize, work conscientiously, with limited supervision • Knowledge of mechanical components of vehicles and equipment • Be able to focus on a task at hand and ignore distractions • High level of motivation and energy • Organized • Attention to detail • Dependable • Team player • A history of work stability. • Must have a valid driver's license • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus • Be able to take direction and complete tasks as required Requirements: • Must have reliable transportation • Must be able to pass a background check Please email or fax resume to 607-467-5757.
