Experienced painter needed for residential repaints. Must have experience brushing, rolling, spraying and general carpentry. Must have own transportation and cellphone. Drywall experience a plus. The Basics • Do you know how to properly apply different paints? • Do you know how to install, tape, bed & texture drywall? • Can you use equipment, materials, and tools used in the painting trade? • Do you have basic construction/carpentry skills? • Can you show up to work on time, regularly? • Can you follow instructions? • Can you follow safety guidelines? • Can you effectively communicate with others? • Can you do basic math related to the trades? • Can you clean up after yourself? The Details (You must have some level of ability in these skills for this job) • Painter / Drywaller (Experienced). • You must have expertise in repairing and preparing surfaces for paint, including but not limited to making drywall repairs, taping, finishing joints and texturing. • Must be able to cut a clean sharp line with a brush. • Basic knowledge of general home repair, remodeling, and maintenance. • Mechanical aptitude – Must be knowledgeable in using various hand and power tools. • Have the ability to determine and identify needed materials and quantities for new and existing projects. Physical Demands This Position Frequently Requires: Standing, lifting & carrying 50+ lbs, walking, pushing, climbing ladders, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching, and full use of hands. Includes working in small spaces, on ladders, with power tools and outside where you might be exposed to sun, humidity, high heat, rain and other inclement weather.
