Sweet and Salty Farm is Hiring! We are looking to add someone to our wonderful team to help with the weekend milking and farm chores. We start at 6:30am on Saturday and Sunday mornings and typically finish by noon or earlier. You will learn all facets of milking cows, operating the milking equipment, cow handling, and pasture grazing. Most mornings this job includes strolling with the cows to and from an oceanside pasture in beautiful Little Compton. There is the potential to grow into a more full-time role if desired. No experience necessary, but fondness for animals is a must. Pay is $16/hour plus cheese and yogurt, with accrued paid time off in winter Hours: Saturday and Sunday – 6:30am until noon (or earlier), year round position How to apply: Email us with your interest. We are a small group of great people and work closely together. • Someone with stamina. You’ll be on your feet all morning, walking in pastures, moving hoses and pasture equipment. • Detail and process-oriented person who can follow instructions. • Good communication skills. Additional qualifications: • You must be able to lift 50 pounds. • No experience farming is required, although that would be a big plus! • A passion for food and sustainable agriculture is important • Ability to arrive at work early (6:30 am)
