I am needing 2-3 reliable people this weekend Sat May 22 and Sun May 23 to help me pull out dock pilings using a portable tripod crane and chain hoist. If you don't have transportation, I can possibly pick up and drop off.
You'll be standing in 2-4 feet of sea water and taking turns pulling 25-75 pounds (maybe briefly 100 pounds) of effort via chain hoist to lift dock pilings out of sea floor, and with total of three people - sliding the 150 net pounds three legged tripod crane (has inflatable buoys attached at bottom to provide some lift - otherwise crane weighs 320 pounds with chain hoist) - to next dock piling to pull that one out. Weather is supposed to be partly cloudy on Saturday, and be sunny on Sunday. Water temperature will be around 75-76 degrees. Would plan on working 8 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday. If for some reason we get finished with pulling dock pilings early - I have other work to pay you for - such as cutting up dock pilings with chainsaw, power washing my home, weeding/landscape, assembling vinyl fencing, etc. I can guarantee you at least $320 cash this weekend for at least 16 hours work. However, I do need at least TWO reliable people. Three would be even better - but if only two - I would be the required third person to move tripod. I will let you know/confirm that there will be another worker. If only one person (you) is working - I can give you non dock/piling work for at least Saturday (power washing home, etc) and possibly Sunday, for a total of at least 8 hours ($160), up to 16 hours ($320) of work. This should be a safe endeavor but nonetheless you must agree to cover/pay/take responsibility for any work related injury/illness.
In a few weeks I will also be needing weekend help jetting in new dock pilings and then doing basic lumber framing - same $20/hr and anticipate probably 3 full weekends of employment, but could be +/-.
Thank you. Lunch and drinks will be offered.
