Rehome a great hound dog

Description

We are rehoming Rocky, the redbone coonhound. We adopted him 3 years ago (estimated age is ~5 years old) and he’s too big for our home since we added a child. Not aggressive at all, just oblivious and 80 lbs. in a 765 sq ft home ha. The good: he’s super chill and doesn’t really bark or bay much which is unusual for the breed. He’ll sleep most of the day but loves going for walks, belly rubs, swimming and car rides. He loves food and treats! He can rollover, sit, etc. he is a handsome boy, but could lose a few lbs (see below). He is very good with kids, our toddler pulls on him all the time, but will knock small kids over because he is big. He’s fully up to date with shots, heart worm prevention, etc. and has been neutered. The bad: he will countersurf for food in unattended and loves cleaning up after our toddler (hence the stubborn weight), he is stubborn and does not enjoy running or exhausting hikes. He does not like it when you stop petting him and can be annoying about getting you to continue by pawing at you. If he gets out of your yard he will wonder off (not unusual for hounds), but won’t go far. Charging a small rehoming fee to ensure he goes to the right home. No scams, local pickup only, and must be able to meet for an introduction. Thanks!
