Job Description: Friendly and attentive individual needed to share the love at our SE Belmont taproom, with the flexibility to be able to cover shifts at both this and our St Johns locations here and there. Shifts: Available shifts are Mon 4pm-8pm Sat 5pm-9pm Both at our SE Belmont location. For taproom shifts, students and professionals are welcome because there's a good amount of downtime you can use to work on your stuff (after your work obligations are met, of course!) We have always been very effective at keeping a sanitary and safe work environment that's still very welcoming. During the pandemic we have made the transition from a self-serve model to counter service - our attendants offer samples to guests, fill growlers or cups, take payment - with covid-specific hand-washing, glove, and payment protocols. We won "Best Kombucha in Portland" in the Willamette Week's reader survey (twice) because of our attention to detail, love of our customers, and hustle. Your very important part in that will be to welcome people, offer them samples and growler fills, monitor guest activity and make sure they feel loved and informed, keep the space welcoming, clean, stocked, and be the resident expert in kombucha, jun, and SOMA! (Though helpful, no prior nutrition or kombucha knowledge is required, full training will be provided). Awesomeness in this position can lead to other roles such as staffing events like farmer's markets, street fairs, music festivals; in-store demos (the last three on hold right now of course); marketing; retail management; others. These positions are about half cleaning and organizing, so cleaning experience, an eye for detail, and willingness to go the extra mile is a must, and half customer service. A chunk of the shift will be down time, and once everything is done and all customers are squared away you're welcome to work on your own stuff.
