Property Maintenance and Repair Technician Dignity Housing is the first housing and supportive services program in the nation to be founded and guided by homeless people and activists. Since 1988, Dignity has provided both quality affordable housing and supportive services to thousands of people. Dignity Housing has cultivated an individualized services approach to meeting the complex needs of homeless individuals and families. The Property Maintenance and Repair Technician is responsible for following the daily assigned schedules and completing a variety of tasks within all units. THIS IS NOT A JANITORIAL POSITION. Starting Salary: $32,760 (pay increase per job performance - experience is required) Supervisor: Property Manager Shifts: Part-time – 16 – 20 hours per week/weekends / Full-time - 35 hours per week + On Call emergencies on all shifts. Qualifications: General Maintenance experience - (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, etc.) - (1) year required Customer service - (1) year preferred Basic Computer skills desired Requirements: Valid Driver’s License Current Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI Clearances Education: High School Diploma or GED required Responsibilities: • Repair and troubleshoot basic issues with fixtures, electrical circuits, painting and appliance issues • Valid drivers’ license along with good driving record and auto insurance is required. • Report daily on assignments addressed with photos • Respond to maintenance request through online portal • Knowledge of building equipment, building codes, and building systems • Responsible for maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the properties (grass cutting, snow removal).
