Half of the republican lawmakers (elected officials) want a commission to investigate exactly what occurred on January 6th and Trumps involvement in the insurrection. The other half of republican doe not want an investigation. Shouldn’t the priority here be to fond the truth. Why would half of the GOP oppose an investigation if they believed that Trump is innocent? Wouldn’t they want his name cleared? ALL Americans should be wanting truth here. Clearly, half of the Republican Party (the half that supports Trump), does not want the truth to be revealed. It is a dangerous time when our elected officials are willing to cover up crimes. If Trump is innocent, his name will be cleared. His supporters should see this as a good thing. The only reason why anyone would oppose an investigation is if they believe Trump is guilty of crimes that day. Truth matters. All Americans deserve to know exactly what occurred that day. Jan 6th was the biggest act of domestic terrorism in history.
