Join your Summit Lake neighbors for a free and fun outdoor activity to help plan the future of your community. Food & refreshments served! All Summit Lake residents and community members are invited to attend this outdoor event to walk the neighborhood with City of Akron staff to share your ideas and priorities for future investments in the Summit Lake neighborhood. OUR SUMMIT LAKE: Community Land Plan Neighborhood Walks is the first public event for Our Summit Lake, a community process to plan future uses for vacant land within the entire Summit Lake neighborhood. Your comments and ideas shared during the walks will be used to create a shared plan for the neighborhood. All voices from the community are important to the success of Our Summit Lake. EVENT DETAILS: Attendees can choose one of three routes to walk.City of Akron staff will walk each route with attendees to ask questions and listen to resident priorities along the way.A bus will take attendees to the start of each walking route to save time.Each walking route is approximately 1.5 miles long and will take about one hour to complete.You can still participate even if you are unable to walk! An engagement station will be located outdoors at the REACH starting point for all participants who prefer to share their feedback without walking.The North Route will begin at W Thornton Street, the Central Route will start at S Main St, and the South Route will head down to Lewis St. All three routes will end back at REACH Opportunity Center.Food and refreshments will be provided for all participants.EVENT DATE, TIME & LOCATION: Thursday May 27th 5:30pm (start time) REACH Opportunity Center (390 W.
