What our clients say about Paw Mind Body:"With sensitivity and amazing intuition Fernando worked with my golden doodle and, most importantly, with me, teaching me to be his pack leader, calm and in control. Friends will tell you that I’m pretty bossy, but with this furry guy I’ve been a wimp…until Fernando showed up and showed me how to be loving and firm. He's been wonderful!" -- Madeline G. "Fernando clearly explained the "mind of a dog," and helped me see my thinking had to change with regard to who is the pack leader. It wasn't easy and I still have to remind myself that they need boundaries! Fernando and Carter make a good team!" -- Gail O. "Nando was excellent with our dog, he gave us a lot of tools to work with and did it with time efficiency as we both work from home and have to check in with work a few times a day. His ability to relate and understanding of our anxieties helped alot. I would highly recommend! " -- Santosh B. "Fernando is very impressive. He really gets dogs ...and their loving parents. He taught us some great concepts and practical approaches and he made us and our dog feel comfortable. We talked to about 8 other trainers who use electric collars and were overall surprisingly quite harsh in their recommendations. We didn't want to work with any of them. Fernando was patient and attentive, just what we were looking for. His style is great and most importantly his training approaches work to help reduce our new dog's insecurities. Very glad we found him." -- C.E. I used to feel angry and stressed when my dog wouldn't listen, and came to dislike the person I was becoming in my dog interactions. Over 15 years of working one-on-one with dogs, and a journey of self-discovery, including 10 years of yoga and meditation training that took me to Sedona, upstate New York, and South Korea, I awakened to the power of energy. This unique combination helped me develop a highly effective dog training approach that gets results quickly, benefitting both human and canine. Now I teach other dog owners how to stop feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and hopeless, and learn to bring balance into their lives with their dogs. Carter Russ is is my apprentice. He is studying animal science at Virginia Tech and plans to open his own dog training company after graduation.
