Immediate Opening Available Responsibilities/Requirements - 3-5 years previous carpentry experience - Install Firestop System at Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Sprinkler penetrations. Also, at Drywall, Masonry, and Curtain Wall joint applications. - Ability to hang drywall and doors - a must - Experience with steel framing and sheet rock is preferred - Experience with firestop work is preferred - Ability to read blue prints/life safety drawings - Tools used (company provided): caulking gun, buckets, sprayer, "sausage" packs; Equipment used (company provided): boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing staging, scaffolds, ladders, containment booths - Duties of this job will require employee to sit, stand, walk, lift or move up to or over 15 pounds, use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; as well as climb or balance Professionalism and discretion required. Work is being performed within a functioning hospital. OSHA 30 preferred. Occasional 2nd shift work may be necessary. Travel within New York City may be required.
