An all ages featuring keynote speaker and famous film director Ya’Ke Smith who will be leading a much needed dialogue about CULTURE.
We as a people are a very colorful, creative, and most importantly triumphant group. Throughout history, we have seen the attempts to destroy our people and demean our culture, yet still we rise. We have found ways to write with pain in our hearts, laugh in times of sorrow, dance in moments of distress, and to create with resources stripped away from us. When all hope seemed lost, we kept moving forward and today, we KEEP MOVING FORWARD. Not just for us, but for the culture. Join us as we celebrate in art and in fellowship on Saturday June 19th, from 2pm - Midnight. There will be keynote speakers, food, fun, prizes, great conversations, music performances and a comedy show at the end of the night headlined by one of San Antonio’s very own underground comedic legends, Clifton Simmons.
