Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Warehouse operations including the supervision of all Warehouse associates, work order processing, accurate order load outs to our installers and inventory accuracy. The warehouse manager will be responsible to the operations leadership by striving to attain safety, quality, lower cost and build talent. He/She will lead by example and will always represent the Arbor Values during the decision-making process. Essential Functions: • Leading or supervising the warehouse team. • Accomplish manager duties; such as, recruiting and selecting candidates, training, and coaching employees. • Communicates job expectations to employees. • Plans, monitors, appraises, and reviews job responsibilities of others. • Enforces company policies and procedures. • Fosters a culture of safety by creating an environment focused on associate safety. • Monitors key warehouse functions to ensure that receiving, staging, and outbound orders are being performed accurately. • Balance service expectations with financial performance targets to achieve best overall performance • Responsible for overseeing physical inventory and cycle counts. • Responsible for the daily schedule of the warehouse personnel to meet load out requirements. • Oversight of the policies and controls to identify errors and resolve on a timely manner. • Able to assist in the cutting of carpet/vinyl. • Receive and unload materials. • Coordinate with other departments to meet customer requirements. • Keeping warehouse organized and tidy up. • Maintain warehouse equipment including company trucks in good operating conditions. • Running inventory and cycle counts Daily and report to Operations Manager. • Ensure all employees follow the safety guidelines and PPE as required. • Develop procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency of the operations. • Updates technical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, participates in professional networks and organizations. Competencies: • Job Knowledge – technically and professionally skilled in all position responsibilities and duties. • Accountability – ability to accept responsibility and account for actions. • Ethical – ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards. • Communicate – ability to effectively communicate and in an appropriate manner in writing and verbally • Analytical – ability to estimate quantities and determine labor needed to perform work activity in a timely manner • Decision-making – capability to use judgement and make effective decisions with little supervision Education & Experience: • A minimum of a high school diploma is required for this role. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. • Must have experience in some facet of the construction industry, flooring preferred. • Computer experience in Microsoft and Google applications. • Knowledge in Rollmaster or RFMS systems a plus. • This role requires a self-starter with the capability to execute daily tasks with a sense of urgency. • The candidate will need to be flexible and available to work between the hours of 6 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday and some weekends are expected. • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally. • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple employees and/ or subcontractors. • Have the ability to adapt easily to changes and act as a creative problem solver. • Forklift Certification required (company will pay for training and certification). Physical Demands: • Work is to be performed in an office, as well as a warehouse environment. • Candidate must be able to walk, sit, bend, stoop, stand and be capable of climbing stairs. • Candidate must be capable of climbing ladders, driving, or operating equipment. • Candidate must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. • This position may require extended time looking at a computer screen. Candidate will be expected to pass a criminal background check and a drug-screen as a condition of employment
