PRODUCTION TECHS NEEDED

Our client in East Houston is looking for several Production Operators who have experience chemical handling, processing, batch operations, or drumming to join their team! SHIFTS - MUST be able to rotate shifts every month (once fully staffed, will be every 3 months) DAYS – 6AM – 4PM (M-F) NIGHTS – 4PM – 2AM (M-F) MUST be able to train during days PAY - $15/hr. LOCATION – East Houston • Daily operation of the melting furnace, including start up and shut down procedures • Daily operation of the Ball Mills, including start up and shut down procedures • Casting the molten metal zinc into different size blocks; skimming the solids off the top of the molten finished product; drumming and skimming off the holding furnace and melting furnace. • Daily operation of the Metal Casting Conveyor, including start up and shut down procedures • Daily operation of the skimming process – Cutting the drums with cutting torch to get the skims out of it, dumping and blending skims. • Operate the Vibramill and Hydraulic chisel mounted on the Back – hoe machine, including start up and shut down procedures • Completion of required forms / paperwork Qualifications • High school diploma or GED equivalent • One year of experience as a chemical operator or equivalent (batching, mixing, drumming, etc.) • Ability to climb ladders and stairs multiple times per shift. • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently move up to 50 pounds. • Competent with safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and equipment. • Basic understanding of pumps, conveyors, and pneumatics. • Ability to understand and convey verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English. • Understanding of chemical processes preferred. • Experience with DOT, OSHA, and all related safety regulations preferred.
