The film will explore the national anthem through the eyes of historic institutions and anthropologists. A film documenting the national exploration of the deep-rooted anthem “Lift Every Voice and Sing” through the eyes of historic museums and anthropologists. Contributions to the film include America's Black Holocaust Museum - Milwaukee, Amistad Research Center of Tulane University, August Wilson African American Cultural Center - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania , California African American Museum -Los Angeles, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History - Detroit, Harvey Gantt Center for African American Arts + Culture - Charlotte, Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park- Hilton Head Island, National Civil Rights Museum - Memphis, Northwest African American Museum -Seattle, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center - Cincinnati, and the National Civil Rights Museum - Memphis, TN. Bring your chairs, blankets and an appetite for a good time! Fish dinners will be available for purchase.
