Lead Carpenter We are an established award-winning construction firm looking for a Lead Carpenter to join our team. Our offices are located in Columbia, MD; we have been in business for over 30 years. Our work consists or residential and light commercial tasks. Too be successful in this job role, you should possess excellent leadership skills as well as outstanding customer service skills. You should also have knowledge of various electrical power tools. Prior work experience as a Lead Carpenter, or a similar role will be an advantage for this position. Responsibilities: • Understanding the client's requirements. • Assigning tasks to the team members as per their abilities. • Tracking the progress of the work. • Following all the safety rules and regulations. • Solving problems faced by the team members. • Working in collaboration with the Contractors and Project Manager. • Making use of various power tools and hand tools. • Maintaining a day-to-day record of tasks completed. • Ensuring the work area is clean after work. • Performing various carpentry duties as and when needed. • Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the company. Requirements: • High school diploma or GED. • Proven work experience as a Lead Carpenter, Carpenter, or a similar role in the Construction company. • A valid driver's license is mandatory. • Excellent knowledge in using various carpentry tools. • Understanding of safety rules. • Experience working in diverse teams. • Showcasing excellent leadership skills. • Excellent communications skills. • Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems. • Knowledge and understanding of remodeling artifacts. • Excellent time management skills. • Ability to work for a long period of time. • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. • A close eye for details for accuracy.
