MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead and Swampscott are combining to provide pickup for household hazardous waste items for a second time this spring on June 9.
The towns have altered their recycling program this year to pick up items at houses because of the coronavirus health crisis.
Oil paint, latex paint, gasoline, pesticides, auto batteries, acidic cleaning products, antifreeze, pool chemicals and other similar items can be left curbside where the waste management company ACV Enviro will remove them.
Residents must pre-register for a pickup time between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Residents can register for pickup here. It will be closed 24 hours before pickup day.
Items not accepted include ammunition, light bulbs, insulation and syringes.
