The focus of the walk will be to identify and name various herbal plants and discuss their usage and health benefits.
In the TEK Walks, Indigenous Educators will share Traditional Ecological Knowledge as the group walks in the environment around Tomaquag Museum known today as Arcadia Management Area, but is the homelands to the Narragansett Nation.
Kristine Thomas Jones and her husband Bobby Thunderhawk Jones founded M'askeht Herbs. Kristine, Wampanoag, and her husband, Narragansett, are both from Rhode Island. She has been a holistic chiropractor and health & wellness educator for over 20 years. Kristine also practices as a chiropractor and owned a wellness practice for many years in Middletown, RI .She is an herbalist and an Assistant Professor of Biology at a community college in the Tampa Bay region of Florida.
