PORT CHESTER, NY — The polls have closed and the votes have been tallied. The unofficial results are in. Here's what the voters decided in the 2021 Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District budget election. The proposed budget of $116,509,250, with a 6.49 percent increase over the 2020-21 spending package was APPROVED by a vote of 967 to 458. School officials said the tax levy will now increase by 2.04 percent. There were a total of two school trustee seats up for election. The winning candidates are: Luigi Russo (incumbent)Sharon Burke
