BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — As of May 18, close to half of Baltimore County residents (379,900 residents or 45.9 percent) have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 298,597 people have been fully vaccinated (36.1 percent). As of Tuesday, Baltimore County has a total of 65,040 positive new coronavirus cases, according to the Baltimore County Health Department, and 1,475 deaths. "As we continue to make amazing progress in vaccinating our neighbors, we're ready to move into the next phase in our fight against COVID-19. By offering on-demand scheduling, we're making it even easier for people across Baltimore County to get their shot," Olszewski said. "Moving forward, we'll continue to do whatever we can to eliminate barriers to care so that everyone can easily get this free, effective, and lifesaving vaccine." Each week, the Baltimore County Department of Health posts a weekly vaccine schedule at www.baltimorecountymd.gov/vaccine with a number of appointment slots. Residents who are medically homebound and unable to travel to a vaccine clinic can email the department of health at [email protected] or call the county's COVID hotline at 410-887-3816 to schedule a vaccine.
