Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Safety Coordinator • Trains employees in safety procedures • Inspects working conditions to ensure activities are complaint with safety guidelines • Writes up reports detailing inspection process • Orders safety gear and supplies • Stays up to date with new state and federal regulations • Consults with company manager regarding the implementation of new safety procedures • Revises company safety handbook Required knowledge, skills and abilities • Bilingual (English/Spanish) • Possesses strong leadership skills • Communicates clearly and effectively • Pays close attention to detail • Exhibits strong organizational skills • Works well with team Work Environment • Time will be spent on various job sites monitoring conditions and inspecting • Time will also be spent in office processing paperwork • Proper safety gear must be worn at all times
