Busy Sonoma County environmental consulting company seeks an experienced Field Technician with the ability to perform groundwater monitoring and sampling and occasional soil sampling, and to assist with the construction, operation, and maintenance of remediation systems. Should have a clean driving record and be able to operate company vehicles, on-board generators, compressors and pumps, and handle and maintain sampling equipment and instruments. Must carry out sampling protocols properly and consistently and adhere to health and safety requirements, including the wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must be willing to work outdoors in variable weather. Attention to detail is crucial. Must be communicative with and responsive to office and field personnel; collect and document scientific data truthfully; and take succinct, accurate and legible field notes. You should be self-motivated and self-directed, but also work as part of a team. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • Outdoor work experience; • Construction or mechanical experience is highly desirable • Valid driver’s license and acceptable DMV record required Position is full time 32+ hours up to 40 hours/week
