Pro Guitarist and lifelong Alex Lifeson disciple seeking PRATT and DIRK to complement my LERXST... I am an hard-core, lifelong fan of the band, and veteran of 2 Rush tribute bands. My gear is pro, and scalable for venue sizes. My "life" is great, no drama. BLA BLA BLA.... As Alex once said... "jazz is weird". to wit: I am looking for rockers... steeped in the music, and culture of Rush...TRUE BELIEVERS. This is my only focus... to put together a regional touring RUSH tribute... worthy of the band's legacy. YOU MUST: know more than Tom Sawyer... sic... have proper gear... have the chops, and attitude to "be" the role... btw... no wigs... you must be available (within reason) to practice, rehearse, record, and do shows, when the project is ready... and as a pro musician, I trust you'll know when we are. 420 is great, fine, whatever... as long as... no boozers. You must be responsible, and tech friendly... no "landline disappearing acts..."... email, dropbox, text, will all serve as communication between us. You must know how to get that "sound", and willing to make what changes you need to accomplish that goal. To that end, you must be financially stable, and level headed. You must be willing to travel... I am... if you're not, well... move on. I will not suffer fools, dreamers or incompetence... As it's said "a clean stage is, a happy stage"... you must be presentable, and relatively photogenic for promo, and video... no scrubs. And... one other thing... this must be your main gig... I do a TON of recording original music, I am a great session player, but I am in only ONE band... this one... If you feel that you need to be in 4 band's to satisfy your need to "do gigs"... this is not for you... I will not be beholden to another band's need of your talent. I will NOT tolerate misogyny, trolls, or dirtbags... BLA BLA BLA I will be handling direct liason with talent buyers, and agencies, and hope to secure permanent representation. All decisions concerning the band, will be made by the band... I as it's representative. I will be reaching out to local, and national agencies, in order to book the band properly. I have multiple pro live sound contacts, we will never have poor sound... ever. Rehearsal space will be contracted as nessasary, and retained if needed, as well as any practice PA needs. I seek compatriots, true believers, friends, and buddies... the "hang" is truely important... that bonding will translate to our stage persona... and the audience will see it... they will know we are believers... once that happens, we have our fan base. Rush fans are fanatical... please have "thick skin"... not everything will go as planned, but "the point of a journey, is not to arrive... anything can happen". But when the "stars shine down", we will "dine on honeydew". I am open to all the bands material, and forsee this band doing an R40 show, in terms of the depth of material. But, we will cater to the fan favorites. In addition, we WILL be a showcase band... not a bar band Bar bands are notoriously underpaid, and overlooked... anyone can play Zeppelin... almost no one can pull off RUSH authentically. We will be, act like, an comport ourselves as pro... anything else is just a garage band. This will NEVER be a garage band, even if we end up rehearsing in one. lastly... this will be a long term proposition... something that takes dedication, commitment, chops, and determination... be prepared to give that to the project. I will expect those qualities in the people I audition. once off auditions can be scheduled as needed... video is extremely helpful... show me what you've got. and... be patient... finding "those players" is, and will be, a long process... these are finite skill sets wedded to the right individuals... it will take time to find them.
