Description

ELMHURST, IL — A man robbed a TCF Bank in Elmhurst about 3 p.m. Tuesday, police said. The bank is inside the Jewel grocery store at 944 S. York St. The man ran away. Schools in the area were placed on a temporary "soft" lockdown, which was lifted, police said. A significant police presence is in the area, according to a city news release. The man is described as black and wearing a gray baseball cap, a blue and gray shirt, and jeans. Anyone with information is asked to call the Elmhurst police at 630-530-3050.
