I am a postpartum doula in the process of applying for a certification from DONA International. I need one more client to support in the beginning of July in order to submit my application on time. I can offer 3, 4 hour sessions (12 hours total plus a prenatal visit if applicable) in exchange for a review of my work. Important requirements: - You must live in Davis, Woodland, Dixon or West Sacramento - These 12 hours must happen in the newborns first 3 months of life. - Another main person supporting the client (the birthing persons mother or partner who lives in the home, etc) must be present for 10 of the 12 hours we work together and also be able to fill out a review. - I will not work for a family that smokes inside the home If you are interested, please schedule a free consultation here: https://www.davispostpartumdoula.com/consultations What does a postpartum doula do? I provide non judgmental, evidence based infant care education and emotional and physical support. We will explore all the options available to new parents regarding infant sleep and feeding. I provide lactation education and support. I perform postpartum depression and mood disorder screenings. I can recommend pelvic floor stretches and perform belly binding. I can cook light meals and watch the baby while the parents nap.
