SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Two consecutive nights of full overnight closures are scheduled May 26-May 28 for Interstate Highway 80 as Caltrans crews continue working on the I-80/I-680/ SR 12 Interchange Project near Fairfield in Solano County.
Detours will be in place and drivers should expect delays, Caltrans said.
Eastbound I-80 Closure At Red Top Road Eastbound I-80 will be closed at Red Top Road from 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, until 6 a.m. Thursday, May 27.
Eastbound I-80 will remain open to local traffic during the overnight closure but motorists traveling through Fairfield will need to exit I-80 at Red Top Road onto Lopes Road, then back onto the I-80 eastbound onramp. Eastbound motorists can also detour via eastbound I-780 to northbound I-680- to eastbound I-80 (as shown in the map below).

(Caltrans District 4) Westbound I-80 Closure At I-680 Onramp Westbound I-80 will be closed at the southbound Interstate Highway 680 connector ramp near Cordelia from 11 p.m. Thursday, May 27 until 4 a.m. Friday, May 28.
Westbound I-80 will remain open in Vallejo to local traffic while the overnight closure is in place. Motorists traveling westbound from the Cordelia area will need to enter onto the I-680 connector ramp and travel southbound to connect to I-780— Curtola Parkway — then back westbound onto I-80.
