Established Anchorage-based commercial maintenance company seeking crew members who enjoy working in an outdoor environment for our summer season. Prior experience with asphalt and concrete maintenance and repair is preferred. Possible year-round work for qualified candidates. Job Overview Repairs and maintains asphalt and concrete by; mixing, raking, and spreading asphalt, sealing cracks, patching holes, participating in parking lot overlays, sweeping work areas, demo and repair concrete sidewalks and curbs, and measuring work. Responsibilities and Duties · Pulling and removing crack fillings. · Use of vacuum truck, push blower, and/or wire broom to clean the surface prior to application of seal coat or crack fill material. · Preparation of surface utilizing an asphalt crack router to open surface cracks prior to filling. · Application of crack fill material utilizing a crack seal kettle and a wand. · Application of seal coat material utilizing a long-handled squeegee and/or spray wand. · Manual labor including shoveling, sweeping and raking. · Occasional equipment operation; including a skid steer or highway broom · Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications · Pass a background check · Clean driving record · Reliable transportation and phone number · Communication skills: Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times. · Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures. · Ability to work in a team setting · Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions *****BONUS AFTER 60 DAYS OF RELIABLE WORK***** Compensation is DOE.
