A CONTINUATION ABOUT FIONA.... I had put out the info on social media for Fiona’s vet bill from yesterday and today, asking if any one felt led to make a contribution towards it that they could do so directly to Animal Medical Services for her enemas, stool softeners, and hydration as not all social media or pages allow funding links or maybe someone prefers helping that way due to questioning the funding page. When I went to the vets to pick up Fiona, I was in for a great surprise. First, the vet charges for both days with meds, hydration, and enemas were $131 and change. A far cry from what I was expecting. Dr. Jones, Dr. Blakesly, Melanie the receptionist and all the other ladies were such a blessing and I know they discounted the bill. Second, I figured maybe a couple people might call in to pay a couple bucks towards the bill - well an angel paid the WHOLE BILL!!! Melanie insists she can not remember who it was. She said it was a woman’s voice - but could not remember the name and the charge slip doesn't show names. Did she forget or did the angel want to stay anonymous? Whatever the case - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I can not say it enough. Now I need to remember where all I posted so this gets out to my Angel. And please let me know who you are. Sadly though, Fiona still did not pass any poop. She is just leaking yucky enema so it is the utmost importance that tomorrow at Colorado Canine Orthopedic that Dr. Sam Franklin does the surgery ASAP. The initial consultation is $90. If they do a CT scan prior (Powers Vet reccomended- but they are higher cost and don't have their own surgeons and Buxton never returned my call) the scan is $900. and then the cost of surgery. (I am scared of that total, but the funding page is making some headway and I have some leads for a couple of grants) I am hoping that the Dr. will just go in ASAP to fix the hip and the rest will take care of itself after. It has been too long without pooping. I certainly don't expect a repeat performance of a whole bill to be paid, but if anyone is willing to contribute towards the bill please call the Ortho and tell them you want to make a donation towards Fiona Robertson’s expenses.
