Job Summary/ Job Duties A Plumber is responsible for the repair, maintenance, testing, and installation and trouble-shooting of plumbing and mechanical systems, water, and other supply and distribution systems. This position responds to general maintenance duties, equipment and systems to include building technician operational duties as assigned. The position requires the ability to work independently and productively without close supervision and manage multiple assignments in cooperation with all staff members to promote teamwork and service excellence. Ability to work with PVC, CPVC, copper, steel and aluminum pipe to build and maintain systems like domestic cold water, domestic hot water, chilled process water, RO water, central vacuum systems, compressed air, gaseous CO2 for agriculture, HVAC condensate drains, Work with RO systems, carbon filters, water softeners, media filters, water storage tanks Work on irrigation systems with pumps, filters, water tanks, sanitization systems, nutrient dosing systems Repairs, installs, replaces, tests and trouble-shoots the water and gas supply and distribution system including all plumbing valves, fixtures and outlets. Installs new water and gas supply system piping and fixtures in accordance with blueprints, drawings, specifications and applicable codes. Maintains waste and vent lines in good operating condition using a plumber's snake, vacuum plunger or jet washer. Assists other department staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations where plumbing expertise and experience is required. Preferably experienced with irrigation systems Ability to work with PVC, CPVC, copper, steel and aluminum pipe to build and maintain systems like domestic cold water, domestic hot water, chilled process water, RO water, central vacuum systems, compressed air, gaseous CO2 for agriculture, HVAC condensate drains, Work with RO systems, carbon filters, water softeners, media filters, water storage tanks Work on irrigation systems with pumps, filters, water tanks, sanitization systems, nutrient dosing systems Completes plumbing safety inspections and PM's as assigned. Acts as a resource to and provides training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair in a safe manner. Performs general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed. Must have advanced knowledge of service processes, techniques and codes. Must be able to read schematics and blue prints. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience A High School Diploma or GED required. Two-year technical degree in related field is preferred. Must possess the required registrations, professional licenses and/or certifications as required by the position. 10 years of experience. Required plumbing repair skills: stoppages/cabling, pumping and backflow testing/repair/replacement, fixture install/replacement, general troubleshooting and repair, domestic water/sewer or storm water leak/repair, fixture rough-in, pump replacement/repair, leak locating/line tracing, hydro jetting and camera.
