Description

Duties of the General Maintenance Technician shall include: -Collection and disposal of trash and garbage and recyclable materials -Clean and maintain on a regular basis the buildings, restrooms, and grounds to a high degree of cleanliness and appearance -Cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, shampooing, and waxing of floors, cleaning of walls and other surfaces -Cleaning and proper disinfecting of bathroom areas to include commodes, urinals, floors, walls, and other surfaces -Performing various turf management tasks such as cleanup of debris from trees, aeration of soil, distribution of soil chemicals at the direction of supervisory personnel, and routine weeding, mowing and trimming of lawns and grounds areas. -Moving equipment, material, and office furniture from one location to another -Performing set-up and breakdown services for special events. Such services may include delivery and erection of tents; and delivery and set-up of tables and chairs -Providing manual labor support to other Facilities Management trades; e.g. carpenters, electricians, plumbers. -Complete additional work order requests as assigned by the supervisor This is a seasonal position from June through October with 30 hours per week.
