Location: Western Massachusetts Position Level: Entry, hourly Pay Scale: $18.00-$22.00 per hour- BOE Northeast Solar is looking for individuals to join our installation team. The position will provide installation assistance for the photovoltaic installation team (three to eight-person crews). This position will work under the direction of the Installation Supervisor and will work alongside the installation team, installing panels, racking, roof mounts. The position requires working at heights. The preferred candidate will have good communication skills, be self-motivated, be reliable, have a positive attitude, be well-groomed, and have a passion for renewable energy. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist the Lead Installer with quality solar PV installations assembling racking, panel attachment • Ensure all necessary materials and tools arrive at the job site • Assists with overall crew & job site safety • Assist with staging materials and tools and load vans • Assist with general ground support • Assist with general site preparation and clean up • Participate in regular safety training • Assist with completion of installation reports PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Entry-level NABCEP solar installation certificate or equivalent (Not required) • Construction Experience •Experience with power tools, hand tools, and safety equipment • Excellent customer service skills • Capable of lifting 70 pounds unassisted, climb ladders, work with tools and work in crawl spaces • Comfortable working on roofs and at heights in varying weather conditions • OSHA 10 hour course completed • Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check • Have reliable transportation
