We are looking for a reliable Handyman to undertake upkeep and repair tasks at the interior or exterior of several Airbnb's. We’ll rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs. Deft hands and technical knowledge are important parts of a handyman’s arsenal. You must be well organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job. You will be working alongside the property manager and cleaning team to keep the properties in pristine condition. Job Expectations: - Perform maintenance and light repairs - Change light bulbs - Replace smoke detectors - Tighten a loose toilet seat - Snaking drains - Fixing Wifi/TV issues - Replacing broken blinds - Copies of lost keys - Repair holes in walls - Replacing appliances/utilities when needed - Snake Drains - Performing routine landscaping/clean up on the grounds - With some regularity, guests call with issues that need to be dealt with immediately. You will need to be on call to address these issues whenever they come up. Examples of this can include: - Water leaking in a unit - Faucets leaking. - The sink won’t drain - Toilet continues to run after flushing - Frozen pipes - Helping guests get into a unit if a guest is having a difficult time getting into the unit and the property manager can’t troubleshoot over the phone. - Maintain an ongoing list of repairs that need to done in each unit and scheduling/performing the work as needed. When an issue comes the expectation is that you will investigate the issue and attempt to repair it. If the repair is past your level of expertise or it falls in the following, you will be responsible for finding a professional to perform the repair, while working closely with the property manager within a budget and with her approval. Some of these types of repairs would be: - Leaks: Windows or roof - Major property repairs - HVAC problems - Non minor Plumbing Repairs Requirements: Proven experience as a handyman Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Attention to detail Well organized and good verbal communication skills Expected hours/ Pay Pay $20/hr for this part-time position. Our expectations is that you would walk through the units once per week, which will take about 2 hours, and then other repairs as necessary. Totally about 10-20 hours per month.
