We are a custom door and maker seeking a woodworker, finisher-artisan. We are looking for someone who wants to work in a unique work environment. We have a home shop space that we work out of so the space is more personal. We are looking for someone that is a hard worker, hustles, has an eye for details and take pride in their work. We are a small team and work together to get things done. We work with wood, metal and glass. Qualifications: - must have some experience with woodworking tools - must be capable of lifting 100 pounds - must be 18 years old and be legal to work in the U.S. - must be able to read, write and speak English. - able to work in a fast, moving environment - 4th and 5th gear only. Do not apply if you are a "cruzer". Looking for a "rockstar" - able to handle several projects simultaneously with interruptions - must have a positive attitude, hardworking and willing to learn. No drama - must have reliable transportation and be on time to work every day - must have valid license and clean license as you may have to go pick up materials and use our vehicle. - can take direction well Tasks include by not limited to: - willing to learn all the time making creative unique pieces such as furniture and doors - all pieces are one of a kind so each project will always be different. - capable of reading CAD drawings - accurately read tape measure, safety use tools such as saw, planer, joiner, bandsaw, panel saw and hand tools - must maintain fabrication and safety equipment - must take pride in you work and craftsmanship - sand and patina metal - willing to learn how to patina - caulk in glass and clean up glass - build crates - go on installs once in a while - pick up materials from vendors once in a while Note: Smoke and drug free environment. This position is for 35 - 40 hours a week. We currently work 4 - 10 hour days - Monday through Thursday. 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (we may also look at the summer schedule and reduce hours due to heat so being able to have a little flexibility). Compensation: DOE 6 paid holidays after 60 days of employment Paid vacation after 1 year of employment Standard sick pay
