Hi All, I'm a 28 year old local Chicago musician looking to find a new project to get involved in now that the city is opening back up. I've been in the same band here in Chicago for 3 years, where we have played most venues in the city including Schubas, Joes on Weed, Subterranean, House of Blues, Elbo Room, Bub City and more. Since Covid started we lost a few key parts that moved away, so am searching for a new group I can plug into. I also sing lead/harmony and have originals that are rooted in blues/soul. My current band plays primarily covers, so I am experienced in playing all sorts of covers and am able to jump into any jam. I am ideally looking for people in my same age group who are into rock, classic rock, jam bands, americana, jazz fusion, soul and funk. I'd like to meet other musicians who enjoy playing a mix of covers and originals, and appreciate jamming and improvising over whatever we are playing. Derek Trucks, Ray Charles, Free Nationals, Grateful Dead, Umphreys, My Morning Jacket, Billy Strings are all musicians I've had on repeat lately. My dream band is two guitars, bass, keys, drums (and a horn section!).
