Description

We are hiring a General Technician that can perform hardware installations and provisioning in customer locations in Chicago, starting with Evanston Water Department. This person must be able to: •Connect regular garden hoses to a solar-powered hardware device without damaging the solar panel and internal electrical parts • Provide the highest level customer support experience to water utility technicians • Rewire internal electrical wires if damaged during shipping to ensure the hardware device works as required • Switch on and provision a hardware unit (further info available at the next stage) to ensure data transmission is working as required • Install pressure sensors in regular water piping to enable pressure monitoring 2 hours of training will be provided to ensure the technician can deploy the hardware products (further info available at the next stage). This role will start off as a contract role that can be converted to full-time depending on level/quality of the output. Compensation is $400 per day inclusive of all travel costs. Once the sensor is successfully installed, you can finish for the day.
