I'm not 100% sure I'm going to do this, but was hoping to get some feedback anyway. I am thinking of making my stand alone garage into a living space, but am trying to do it less expensively than traditional methods. I am seeing if I can tap into the stream to pump water up from there. Anyone have any experience with this? I'd like to be able to have it turn on and off automatically just like a house pump. Wondering if a plain pressure tank is needed in addition. I guess also it needs to be freezeproof for the winter. not sure if we can just build a box or just use heat tape. I'm looking for advice but can certainly pay someone to set up the whole system. (Might not be right away, but soon) also maybe a grey water system.... and if anyone knows if i need a permit to grab a small amount of water from stream... thank you
