Dog lovers wanted! Charleston City Paper's Best of Charleston Doggie Daycare and Grooming is looking for help! Candidates must have a love of dogs, be willing and able to work with large groups of them, and be able to withstand long periods outdoors in all types of weather. No experience necessary--we will happily train the right candidate. We strive to create a fun atmosphere, though very busy and physically demanding at times--while playing with dogs is part of the job, it also requires the ability to manage them in groups, and to look out for their safety and ensure they're playing with each other nicely. Duties may also include feeding, checking in and checking out dogs, and greeting clients. A willingness to get dirty and keep the dogs' spaces clean is a must, as are good communication skills. Requirements: Must be at least 17 years of age. Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. Must be available for morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, although schedules are flexible. Must have some computer skills and the ability to learn our system. Starting salary is 9.50 per hour and increases are given based on performance--we love to advance the right candidates!
